A special Gala was hosted on 11/11/2012 by the Vietnamese Graduates from Australian Club (VGAC), for Australian alumni at Grand Hotel Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City. The ceremony was attended by senior officers from agencies of Vietnamese and Australian Government, representatives of universities and businesses from Vietnam and Australia, and three hundred of Australian alumni.
The Gala 2012 – “Australian Alumni Talent” was a good opportunity for Australian alumni to meet and network with their fellow friends, enjoy Australian atmosphere, and recall the best memory of living and studying in Australia. The final round of VGAC Talent Contest 2012 was taken place at the Gala with five chosen performances from the first round. Those best performances were voted by all audience at the Gala. The talent show performed by outstanding Australian alumni made the night more impressive.
After 21 years since its establishment, under the great support and sponsorship of Australian Government, especially the Australian Education International and Australian Trade Commission, and sponsors’, VGAC has done various activities in all five chapters (Hanoi, Hue, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho), to give alumni opportunities of life long learning, career supporting and networking. Those helpful activities make VGAC be the largest group of Alumni in Vietnam with more than 5,000 members.
Vietnamese Graduates from Australia has made significant achievements in education, culture, social development, business, and science. Such contributions of Australian alumni to the development of Vietnam help to strengthen the ties of Vietnam and Australia.
