About VGAC
The Vietnam’s Graduates from Australia Club (VGAC) is a non-profit organisation founded in 1991 by the Vietnam-Australia Friendship Association (VAFA).
VGAC is open to all Australian alumni in Vietnam. With over 30 years of establishment and strong support from the Australian Government, Australian institutions, and companies in Vietnam, the organisation has built a network of nearly 7000 members in five chapters – Hanoi, Hue, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho. VGAC members are working as government officials, business people, academics and professionals throughout the country, playing their parts in contributing to the development of both Vietnam and Australia and to collaboration between the two countries.
Ms. Nguyen Hong Ha
National Chairwoman
In 1993, Ms. Nguyen Hong Ha received an ADS Scholarship Award and completed her Bachelor degree at University of South Australia. Upon returning to Vietnam, she has worked extensively in the field of international education consulting. She has participated and held important positions at leading educational institutions in the Vietnamese market, helping to build these organizations into reputable and effective educational institutions,
Ms. Nguyen Hong Ha was Chairwoman of VGAC – HCMC Chapter from 2008 to 2010 and she has always been an active committee member since she joined VGAC.
In 2011, Ms. Nguyen Hong Ha published a Study Abroad Guidebook with 120 pages as a writer and editor, together with the Associate Dean of ISB – the University of Economics HCMC, to provide the public with unbiased and accurate information about the study abroad picture. This book is now on shelves of 5 large bookstores and also distributed through top high schools in Ho Chi Minh City.

Mission
VGAC’s mission is to gather Vietnamese graduates from Australia and other Australian alumni currently residing in Vietnam. VGAC’s activities are to create excellent networking opportunities in order to promote Australian education, friendship, collaborative relations, and mutual understanding between Vietnam and Australia.
Câu lạc bộ Việt Nam – Australia (VGAC) là một tổ chức phi lợi nhuận thành lập năm 1991 dưới sự lãnh đạo của Hội Hữu Nghị Việt Nam – Australia (VAFA).
VGAC là một mạng lưới các cựu học sinh Úc tại Việt Nam. Các hoạt động của VGAC trong hơn 30 năm qua có sự hỗ trợ và đồng hành của Chính phủ Úc, các trường đại học Úc, và nhiều công ty tại Việt Nam.
VGAC hiện có gần 7000 thành viên tại 5 chi hội từ các miền đất nước: Hà Nội, Huế, Đà Nẵng, TP. Hồ Chí Minh và Cần Thơ. Thành viên của VGAC là các cán bộ công tác tại các cơ quan chính phủ, doanh nhân, nhà giáo và các chuyên gia hiện đang làm việc trên mọi miền đất nước cũng như đang đóng góp vào sự phát triển đất nước, làm cho bạn bè quốc tế hiểu thêm và khâm phục một thế hệ thanh niên Việt Nam tài năng và nhiệt huyết.
